Find a pharmacy that offers MenB vaccinations for young people
Young people starting university are at increased risk of meningococcal B disease due to prolonged close contact in shared accommodation and social settings. The MenB vaccine helps protect against meningococcal group B bacteria, which can cause life-threatening meningitis and sepsis.
The free NHS MenB vaccination is available to:
- Young people born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008.
- Those born on or after 21 July 2001 who are starting university or eligible residential further education for the first time this autumn.
Further information, including eligibility and how to book, is available on the NHS MenB vaccination information and booking page: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/vaccination-and-booking-services/find-a-pharmacy-that-offers-walkin-menb-vaccinations-for-young-people/
